Pilates
All of our Pilates group classes last 60 minutes.
Pilates is a carefully balanced exercise system based on the teachings and theory of Joseph Pilates. The Pilates exercises are performed consciously and at a leisurely pace and in the classes we creatively help you become (stay) STRONG and flexible and improve your body awareness and posture. The focus is on the possibilities of YOUR body and getting the best out of it!
We work in small groups at K’dans and offer classes for every level, we will find an appropriate class for you to join, and we invite you to join us and experience for yourself what a Pilates class does to your body!
Pilates classes at K’dans are taught by a team of professionally trained teachers in the STOTT PILATES® method. Every year our teachers keep their knowledge up to date and attend trainings and refresher courses all over the world. K’dans is THE training center for STOTT PILATES® in the Netherlands. Students from all over Europe come to The Hague to do their training here.
Pilates MAT, Reformer and CHAIR classes
Classes on the Mat , Reformer and chair are taught in small groups, we have a large study downstairs and a smaller studio upstairs.
During classes we use tools such as flex bands, (Franklin) balls, arc barrels, foam rollers and circles.
For MAT and Reformer classes, schedule an appropriate class:
CARE
A class is for those with back or neck pain or want to start up after an injury. We work with the 6 STOTT PILATES ® principces and help you activate the muscles of your center in a safe way, so you can gain confidence and move more pain-free.
Start UP
To quietly get acquainted with the Pilates method and become aware of your breath and posture and the purpose of the exercises. In the classes we let you experience essential exercises. Do you choose the reformer? Then the teacher will explain the machine and teach you how to use it safely.
NEXT Level
Do you have no injury and know the basics and already have the necessary experience ? Then we already challenge you more with strength and coordination and here and there the speed goes up and we make the step to more intermediate exercises. You have no injuries if you want to join this class.
Challenge
For those who are up to the challenge, have body awareness and can work a bit more on pace and strength: Advanced exercises in every class, up tempo OR just deeper inside and perform the movements even more consciously ! Occasionally be surprised by an interval class, who said Pilates doesn’t get you hot?
Pilates CHAIR
The chair is one of the Pilates devices we use in group classes at K’dans. Using Pilates principles, you experience all possibilities of resistance from all directions and many functional movements are covered. A challenge for every level.
